Wednesday June 12
11 - 12 Cyanotype Art Project -Explore New Experiences
Take a short walk to discover new plant species. Return to the museum for an art project with plants that have been pressed. Sun printing is a beautiful way to preserve the patterns you find in nature without removing any flora out of the park.

Friday June 14
11 – 2 Assay Office Tours + Blacksmithing
Visit the Assay Office and learn how they got the gold out of the mountain. Go to the Blacksmith shop to learn how important these jobs were to mining communities.

8 PM - Fascinating Fire Ecology - Campfire Program
Explore the importance of prescribed burning in fire adapted habitats. The history of fire in this region reveals this powerful element’s role in managing a healthy flourishing forest for the future. Meet in amphitheater near site #70.

Saturday June 15
10 & 11 Owl Program - Jr Rangers +
Learn about the many owls that live in our region. See an impressive collection of taxidermy owls, pellets and more! Sign up in the visitor’s center. Spaces limited to 15 people per session.

12:00 Candle Making - Celebrate Community and Culture
Sign up at the museum to take part in this hands-on and historical craft! Open to children age 7 and up-Space is limited.
